Job Description

About the Role:

Backend Developer (PHP)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and APIs using PHP
  • Work with frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services
  • Build efficient, secure, and reusable code
  • Design and manage MySQL or other database systems
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements
  • Perform debugging, performance tuning, and security enhancements
  • Write clear technical documentation


Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of PHP and MVC frameworks (Laravel/CodeIgniter/Symfony)
  • Proficient in MySQL or PostgreSQL database design and optimization
  • Understanding of RESTful API development and integration
  • Familiarity with Git version control
  • Experience with authentication systems, security best practices
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
  • Basic knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for integration


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud deployment (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Docker or other DevOps tools
  • Knowledge of caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached)
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum teams
