Position Summary

Backend Developer Intern

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining backend APIs and microservices using Node.js
• Work with

  databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or other NoSQL/SQL systems)

  to design and query data models
• Support integrations with third-party APIs and blockchain/Web3 services
• Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to ensure seamless API consumption
• Write clean, testable, and reusable backend code under guidance from senior developers
• Contribute to

  QA testing and debugging

  of backend services before deployments
• Learn and assist in configuring

  CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and deployment tasks

• Ensure basic

  security best practices

  in data handling and authentication workflows
• Research and experiment with backend tools and frameworks to optimize performance

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Strong programming fundamentals in

  JavaScript/TypeScript

• Hands-on experience with

  Node.js + Express.js

  (coursework/projects/internships count)
• Basic knowledge of

  databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Firebase)

• Understanding of REST APIs and how they interact with frontend/mobile apps
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and version control workflows
• Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn fast in a startup environment

Nice to Have

• Exposure to

  Web3 development (Web3.js, Ethers.js, blockchain APIs)

• Knowledge of authentication systems (JWT, OAuth2.0)
• Basic understanding of

  CI/CD tools

  (GitHub Actions, Docker, Vercel, AWS, or similar)
• Previous project/internship experience in

  fintech, payments, or mobile-first apps
