Job Description

Role Overview: As a Financial Operations Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage the financial operations of the organization to ensure accurate, reliable, and compliant financial reporting. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the preparation and presentation of financial statements, identifying and mitigating financial risks, and developing robust internal controls. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulations. - Support in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks, and report on these risks to senior colleagues. - Develop and maintain a strong system of internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraudulent misreporting, and ensure the accuracy of financial data. - Implement up-to-date financial policies and procedures to promote consistent and effective financial practices across the organization. - Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and software applications, collaborating with IT colleagues as needed. - Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports, providing support to other departments in their reporting processes. - Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits and examinations. Qualifications Required: - Impactful work experience in financial operations or a related field. - Ability to partner with cross-functional teams and take ownership of operational activities. - Proficiency in identifying and addressing policy breaches and implementing risk mitigation strategies. - Strong decision-making skills and the ability to influence within your area of expertise. - Thorough understanding of financial controls, regulations, and codes of conduct. - Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capability to guide and communicate complex information effectively. - Proven track record of building a network of stakeholders and contacts both internally and externally.
