Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Role Overview

The Azure DevOps Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing DevOps solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role ensures seamless integration of development, testing, and deployment processes, enabling continuous delivery and automation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

Design scalable and secure Azure DevOps solutions aligned with business needs.
Define CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications and environments.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.

Automation & Integration

Automate build, release, and deployment processes.
Integrate Azure DevOps with third-party tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube).
Implement monitoring and alerting for DevOps pipelines.

Governance & Security

Establish best practices for source control, branching strategies, and artifact management.
Ensure compliance with security standards and implement role-based access control (RBAC).

Collaboration

Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to DevOps engineers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

Strong experience with Azure DevOps Services (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts).
Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
Hands-on experience with Azure services (App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage).
Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, ARM, Bicep).
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Programming & Scripting

Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting.
Understanding of YAML for pipeline configuration.

Soft Skills

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work in agile environments and manage multiple priorities.
