Azure Data Architect

Role Overview: As an Azure Data Architect at Hitachi Solutions, you will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions on Microsoft Azure. Your role will involve developing scalable and efficient data architectures to support large-scale data processing and analytics workloads. You will work closely with business and technical teams to understand data needs and translate them into robust, scalable data architecture solutions. Additionally, you will provide expertise and leadership to the development team implementing data engineering solutions and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data architectures align with business goals. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement end-to-end data solutions on Microsoft Azure, including data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT processes. - Develop scalable and efficient data architectures that support large-scale data processing and analytics workloads. - Ensure high performance, security, and compliance within Azure data solutions. - Evaluate and choose appropriate Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Azure Data Factory. - Work closely with business and technical teams to translate data needs into robust, scalable data architecture solutions. - Provide expertise and leadership to the development team implementing data engineering solutions. - Optimize cloud-based data infrastructure for performance, cost-effectiveness, and scalability. - Analyze data workloads and recommend optimizations for performance tuning, cost management, and reducing complexity. - Monitor and address any issues related to performance and availability in cloud-based data solutions. - Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data architectures align with business goals and data analysis requirements. - Experience in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or Scala. - Experience in Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline development. - Hands-on experience in architecture, data science, or a combination thereof. - In-depth understanding of database structure principles. - Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. - Strong data modeling and analytics skills, including the ability to convert OLTP data structures into Star Schema. - Problem-solving attitude, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively. - Collaborative attitude and aptitude for working effectively in a team environment. Qualifications: - 8 to 14 years of experience in a relevant field. - Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Fabric is desirable. - Hands-on experience with Azure data services like Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Azure Data Factory. - Experience with data governance, data privacy, and compliance requirements. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Data Modeling experience and familiarity with tools like ER Studio or Erwin. - Experience with distributed data processing of big data batch or streaming pipelines. - Experience with database migration from legacy systems to new solutions.
