DevOps Engineer (AWS)

DevOps Engineer

You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure, automating deployment processes, improving system reliability, and collaborating closely with development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and manage scalable, highly available, and secure

  AWS Cloud infrastructure

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using

  Terraform

  ,

  CloudFormation

  , or

  AWS CDK

• Build and manage

  CI/CD pipelines

  using tools such as

  Jenkins

  ,

  GitLab CI/CD

  ,

  AWS CodePipeline

  , or

  CircleCI

• Deploy, manage, and scale applications on

  Kubernetes clusters

  (preferably using

  Amazon EKS

  )
• Manage containerization using

  Docker

  and orchestration using

  Kubernetes

• Automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows
• Monitor system health, set up alerting, and perform performance tuning
• Ensure security by managing IAM roles, VPC configuration, security groups, and network policies
• Handle disaster recovery, system backups, and failover mechanisms
• Collaborate with developers to define efficient deployment and development workflows
• Optimize cloud resources for cost and performance
• Manage system logging and monitoring solutions (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Document architecture, processes, and runbooks for knowledge sharing

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, System Administration, or Site Reliability Engineering
• Strong experience in

  AWS services

  (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudWatch, ELB, Route 53)
• Hands-on experience managing

  Kubernetes clusters

  (Amazon EKS, kOps, self-managed)
• Proficient in

  Docker containerization

• Infrastructure as Code expertise (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK)
• Experience setting up and managing

  CI/CD pipelines

  (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CodePipeline)
• Proficient scripting skills (Bash, Python)
• Strong Linux administration skills
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK stack)
• Deep understanding of networking (VPC, subnets, NAT, VPN, Security Groups)
• Good knowledge of security best practices in the cloud environment
• Experience with version control tools (Git)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway)
• Expertise in Cloud cost optimization strategies
• Knowledge of cloud security compliance (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR)
• Experience in Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
• Familiarity with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd)
• Experience with logging and centralized monitoring setups
