Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced AWS Data Engineer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in designing and building scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and ETL processes using AWS services. You will work closely with data architects, analysts, and developers to build robust, secure, and high-performance data solutions in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and manage data pipelines and ETL processes using AWS services
• Implement and optimize data lake and data warehouse solutions on AWS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements
• Build and maintain scalable data ingestion, transformation, and processing systems
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across data platforms
• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments
• Implement automation and DevOps practices for data workflows and infrastructure
• Document technical designs, architectures, and processes

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on AWS
• Strong experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, and EMR
• Proficiency in building ETL pipelines using PySpark, Glue, or custom Python scripts
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling and performance optimization
• Familiarity with data lake architectures and partitioning strategies
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as AWS Step Functions or Apache Airflow
• Hands-on experience with version control, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (e.g., CloudFormation or Terraform)
• Understanding of security best practices including IAM, KMS, and encryption at rest/in transit
