AWS Cloud Specialist

Responsibilities

• Analyze, refactor, and containerize existing batch and web applications using Docker, ensuring efficient and secure deployment in AWS EKS.
• Configure and manage Kubernetes (EKS) clusters to deploy and monitor containers, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Use Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to provision, configure, and manage containerized environments.
• Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting systems for container performance and pipeline efficiency using

  AWS CloudWatch

  , Prometheus, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline workflows and create comprehensive documentation for containerization and pipeline processes.
• Ensure high availability and implement robust backup and disaster recovery solutions using AWS services such as AWS Backup and AWS Disaster Recovery
• Collaborate with team for guidance and mentorship to teams on AWS technologies and best practices.

Skillset & Experience Required:

• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience working with AWS cloud services.
• Proficiency in Docker for creating, managing, and optimizing container images; experience with Kubernetes (EKS) for orchestration and scaling.
• Core Kubernetes concepts, Network concepts, storage, security, networking and logging, CI/CD, Auto scaling.
• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or similar.
• Strong experience with AWS services (EKS, ECR, Lambda, S3, IAM) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Certifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) is a must.
• Other relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Security Specialty) are a plus.
