AWS Cloud Consultant

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Consultant with a proven track record in designing and executing large-scale cloud migration projects from on-premise infrastructure to AWS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in AWS architecture, migration methodologies, and post-migration managed services. The role involves consulting with clients, evaluating existing systems, and delivering cost-effective, scalable, and secure AWS solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement migration strategies for moving enterprise workloads from on-premise systems to AWS Cloud.
• Conduct assessments of existing infrastructure and define cloud readiness, migration roadmaps, and timelines.
• Deploy and configure AWS services including EC2, RDS, VPC, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, and CloudFormation.
• Lead end-to-end cloud migration projects ensuring minimal downtime and performance optimization.
• Manage and support AWS Managed Services environments, including automation, monitoring, security, and cost optimization.
• Utilize monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and Splunk to track system health and respond to incidents to ensure high availability.
• Should have knowledge or experience working with AWS Backup Services and Patch Management life cycle thru AWS SSM.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
• Develop documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for post-migration cloud operations and Disaster Recovery plans.
• Advise clients on AWS best practices, cost management, and governance frameworks.
• Provide expertise in infrastructure management, including multi-account organizations, landing zones, and automation with AWS Control Tower.
• Oversee network architectures (VPCs, Transit Gateways) and database strategies (RDS, DynamoDB) to ensure seamless connectivity, security, and performance in hybrid setups.
• Mentor junior team members, conduct code reviews for Terraform modules, and drive best practices for CI/CD pipelines using CodePipeline and Git.
• Troubleshooting complex production issues, performing Well-Architected Framework Reviews (WAFR), and driving continuous improvement in reliability, security, and cost optimization
• Should have proficiency in utilizing AWS X-Ray, Config, and GuardDuty for monitoring and compliance.
• Stay ahead of AWS innovations, evaluate new services, and contribute to proposals for client projects involving AI, IoT, or edge computing.
• Ensure all solutions adhere to security standards, including IAM policies, encryption, and compliance audits.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with experience in the relevant field
• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 6 years specializing in AWS.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, architecture design, and cloud governance.
• Expertise in cloud migration tools such as AWS Migration Hub, CloudEndure, or AWS DataSync.
• Experience managing Managed Services operations, including automation, patching, monitoring, and backup.
• Good understanding of security best practices (IAM, KMS, VPC Security Groups).
• Knowledge of tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with AWS Connect is preferred
• Deep infrastructure knowledge, encompassing compute, storage, networking (e.g., Direct Connect, Global Accelerator), database management (e.g., multi-AZ deployments, read replicas), multi-account setups, AWS organizations, Control Tower and security (IAM, encryption, logging, Governance & Compliance)
