AWS Cloud Architect

Key Responsibilities

AWS Landing Zone & Governance

• Architect, deploy, and configure

  AWS Control Tower

  , including OU structures, Account Factory, guardrails, and multi-account provisioning.
• Implement

  AWS Organizations

  governance, Service Control Policies (SCPs), and foundational security and compliance guardrails.
• Define, refine, and maintain enterprise cloud governance frameworks and standards.

Cloud Networking & Hybrid Connectivity

• Design multi-account

  VPC architectures

  , routing strategies, and

  Transit Gateway

  topologies.
• Configure and manage

  AWS Direct Connect

  , DX Gateway, and site-to-site VPN for hybrid connectivity.
• Architect scalable DNS implementations using

  Amazon Route 53

  (public and private hosted zones).

Security, Monitoring & Compliance

• Deploy and operationalize

  AWS Config, GuardDuty, Security Hub

  , and continuous compliance frameworks.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and centralized security services.
• Ensure Landing Zones adhere to enterprise security, governance, and audit requirements.

Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) & Automation

• Build and maintain IaC using

  Terraform

  , including reusable modules and automation patterns.
• Implement

  AFT (Account Factory for Terraform)

  and Service Catalog-based account provisioning workflows.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or equivalent tools.

Operational Readiness & Delivery

• Validate Landing Zone builds, conduct cloud readiness assessments, and support application onboarding.
• Prepare detailed architecture diagrams, runbooks, SOPs, and implementation documentation.
• Provide architectural guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure quality, security, and scalability.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience as an

  AWS Cloud Architect

  or Senior DevOps Engineer in

  enterprise environments

  .
• Strong expertise with

  AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations, SCPs

  , and multi-account governance.
• Deep understanding of

  VPC architecture, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN

  , routing, and

  Route 53

  DNS.
• Advanced proficiency in

  Terraform

  , including module development, IaC best practices, and automation patterns.
• Hands-on experience with

  AFT (Account Factory for Terraform)

  and Service Catalog-based account provisioning.
• Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines using

  GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline

  , or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of AWS security services:

  AWS Config, GuardDuty, Security Hub

  , CloudTrail, and security baseline controls.
• Excellent documentation skills architecture diagrams, runbooks, SOPs, and implementation guides.
• Proven success delivering large-scale AWS platforms with strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-team collaboration.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

• AWS Certifications: Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, or equivalent.
• Experience with workload migration, modernization, and cloud adoption frameworks.
• Exposure to container platforms (EKS/ECS) and modern DevOps toolchains.
