Role & responsibilities

Job Description:

• Solid experience at Linux Administration
• Experience at OS level Upgrades and Patching, including vulnerability and remediations.
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals, Networking, Firewalls and system security.
• Experience working with AWS cloud platform and infrastructure.
• Experience working with infrastructure as code with Terraform or Ansible tools.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and infrastructure automation.
• Strong experience in Jenkins for building and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating software builds, tests, and deployments.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability of services.
• Proficient in scripting using Python or Shell to automate system tasks like deployment, alerting and monitoring.
• Maintain system security and experience at Kerberos and Active Directory.

• Experience in building, deploying, and monitoring distributed apps using Docker and Kubernetes or EKS.

Core Skills

Linux Administration: Extensive experience with Linux administration, including OS-level upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, and a strong understanding of Linux internals, networking, firewalls, and system security.

Cloud & IaC: Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform and infrastructure. Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Ansible.

DevOps & CI/CD: Strong experience with Jenkins for managing CI/CD pipelines and automating builds, tests, and deployments.

Scripting: Proficient in scripting using Python or Shell for automation tasks, including deployment, monitoring, and alerting.

Security: Experience with system security, including Kerberos and Active Directory.

Preferred Skills:

Big Data: Experience managing large big data clusters and administering tools like Hue, Hive, Spark, Jupyter, SAS, and R-Studio.

Containerization: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or EKS for building, deploying, and monitoring distributed applications.
