AVP - Software Engineering (Tech Lead - NPS)

• Lead end-to-end application development within the Payments domain, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and performance benchmarks.
• Oversee secure web application development, integrating encryption standards (TLS /, AES) and secure coding practices.
• Assess existing products, propose areas of improvement such as in technical areas.
• Architect and secure RESTful and SOAP APIs using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API Gateway mechanisms.
• Understanding technical and functional speci cations in detail.
• Collaborate on Business Requirement Analysis and contribute to the development of Solution Designs alongside developers.
• Ensure adequate security practices are followed in development.
• Conduct regular code reviews and implement SSDLC best practices.
• Review development and test deliverables to ensure the completeness of the requirements within timelines.
• Leadership & Vision: Inspire and guide development teams with a clear technical and strategic vision.
• Provide periodic updates, executive reporting on project status, etc.
• Resource Allocation: Assign roles and responsibilities based on skill sets and project demands.
• Performance Management: Set KPIs, conduct regular reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are a must for this position.

• Minimum of 12+ Years experience.
• Relevant experience of 10+ years in Business requirement mapping, quality analysis and software development lifecycle. - Mandatory
• Experience in working in a fast paced, high expectation 24x365 environment.
• Candidate should have knowledge in LC/BG/Trade systems. - Desirable
• Understanding of messaging standard like MT 15022, ISO20022. - Desirable
• Experience MS Project, Strong MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio skills - Mandatory

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of API and Microservices, various communication protocol, middleware technologies - Mandatory
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues

• Work with program/project managers, product owners, and other team members in providing clarity of requirements and how it relates to the business objectives.
• Ability to constantly ensure necessary risk assessments, monitor proactively addressed all risks in a timely fashion. Provide proper documentation of risks for specific SOW.
• Ability to analyze data, prepare good quality presentations and high impact reports for Top Management and various committees.
• Ownership of technical issues and co-ordination with Cross functional teams for resolving issues.

• To ensure applications/software environments are fully maintained with appropriately supported updates, patches and/or service packs in line with system maintenance policies.
• Proactively monitor application performance and security vulnerabilities, initiating remediation strategies.
• Drive the development of scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, AngularJS, and React JS.
• Manage PostgreSQL / Oracle databases and ensure efficient data operations.
• Oversee deployment environments using RHEL and Apache HTTPD/Nginx.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Lead secure integration with payment gateways, banking APIs, and HSM Java libraries for cryptographic operations.
• KeyCloak enables role-based access control, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect, which are essential for compliance with standards like GDPR, PCI DSS and ISO 2700.
• From a managerial lens, this shows readiness to build systems that meet data privacy regulations and access control mandates.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external security standards, including secure messaging protocols and XML encryption.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to guide strategic technology decisions.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks proactively.
• Performance Management: Set KPIs, conduct appraisals, and support career development of team members.
