As an Assistant Vice President - Product Governance at Barclays, you will embark on a transformative journey spearheading the evolution of the digital landscape to drive innovation and excellence. Your role will involve harnessing cutting-edge technology to revolutionize digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Provide controls-related subject matter expertise to partner with the business in complying with requirements under the Barclays Control Framework (BCF) sustainably. - Support oversight and guidance on issues management related to risk and control issues, quality, and adherence to SLAs throughout the process. - Collaborate to ensure effective implementation and management of frameworks across aligned businesses, functions, and horizontals. - Offer advice, education, and awareness on issues management for continuous improvement and enhanced service framework. - Drive a sustainable controls culture through the use of data-led relevant indicators to ensure insightful Control Forums. - Monitor key indicators, provide insights to leadership on risk profile oversight, and conduct analytics for root cause analysis of issues and thematic trends. - Proactively identify and resolve thematic issues using key data insights for control enhancement opportunities. - Provide specialist consultancy and advisory services to drive high-quality risk management aligned with strategy, regulation, Group frameworks, policies, and standards. Qualifications Required: - Experience in a Control type role/team. - Ability to apply judgement balancing risk versus business interests while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and standards. - Knowledgeable on Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), Operational Risk Framework (ORF), and Barclays Control Framework (BCF). Location: Chennai Purpose of the Role: To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the bank's internal control framework to support risk mitigation and protection of operational, financial, and reputational risks. Accountabilities: - Collaborate with stakeholders to improve overall control effectiveness through detailed documentation of control assessments, procedures, and findings. - Identify and investigate potential weaknesses within internal controls for continuous improvement aligned with the banks" control framework. - Develop reports to communicate key findings from risk assessments, control weaknesses, and recommendations to stakeholders. - Execute reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework aligned with policies, regulations, and best practices. - Implement adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and set appropriate methodology for assessing controls.
