As an AVP Complaints Framework & Governance at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing the digital landscape, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences through cutting-edge technology. Your responsibilities will include: - Proficiency in production of Microsoft PowerPoint presentation decks and presenting data to senior management and in governance forums. - Good understanding of Markets Business (Equity, Credit, FX, Rates, Prime Services) and financial instruments like bonds, CDS, options, swaps, etc. - Background in working in Legal/Compliance roles or managing customer complaints. - Excellent PowerPoint and Advanced Excel knowledge demonstrated in previous work experience. - Excellent communication skills and ability to confidently deal with groups outside of the immediate team. - Executing against tight deadlines and handling stressful situations. - Good Stakeholder communication skills and evidence of successful collaboration in a global environment. Desirable skills include working experience within an Investment Bank close to the front line, a risk and control mind-set, exposure to various products in Markets business, attention to details, structured approach to activities, support for automation/programming aspects, and strong problem-solving skills. Location: Pune Purpose of the role: To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the bank's internal control framework to mitigate risk and protect operational, financial, and reputational risks. Accountabilities: - Collaborate with stakeholders to improve control effectiveness through detailed documentation, identification, and investigation of control weaknesses, and development of reports. - Execute reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework aligned to policies, regulations, and best practices. Assistant Vice President Expectations: - Consult on complex issues and provide advice to support the resolution of escalated issues. - Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda. - Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls. - Collaborate with other areas to keep up with business activity and strategy. - Engage in complex data analysis to solve problems creatively and effectively. - Communicate complex information and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
