Audio-Visual Systems

• Installation & commissioning of AV systems (displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers)
• Audio & video conferencing systems (Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Webex – basic level)
• Rack assembly, rack wiring, and cable dressing
• Mounting solutions (wall mounts, ceiling mounts, floor stands)
• Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of AV equipment

Networking & Cabling

• Structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6): pulling, termination, labeling, and testing
• Basic LAN/WAN concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS – foundational understanding)
• Network-based AV systems (AV over IP – basic exposure)
• Switch configuration basics (VLAN awareness, PoE concepts)
• Testing tools: LAN tester, cable certifier (basic)

Tools & Technical Skills

• Crimping RJ45 connectors and AV terminations
• Soldering AV connectors
• Use of hand and power tools (drills, cutters, testers)
• Reading and interpreting AV, electrical, and network diagrams
• Basic computer configuration and troubleshooting

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in installation and integration of AV and network infrastructure.
• Configure and test AV devices connected over IP networks.
• Troubleshoot AV, connectivity, and signal flow issues.
• Coordinate with networking and IT teams for system deployment.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, site guidelines, and SLAs.
• Support live meetings and events as required.

Qualifications

Work Environment

• On-site client locations including offices and construction sites
• Physical work involving lifting, climbing, and equipment installation
• Occasional evening or weekend support for projects or events
