AV CAD Tech

As a CAD Technician at AVI-SPL, your role involves developing and generating all necessary drawings for integrated customer projects. You will work closely with Design Engineers, Project Engineers, and Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely completion of drawings. Providing high-level customer service to both internal and external customers on a daily basis is essential. You will research components as needed to create accurate depictions and act as a customer liaison in the absence of the Senior CAD Technician. Additionally, you will be responsible for contributing to job documentation, assisting with projector and Screen Support Structure installations, operating office printers/plotters, and utilizing labeling software for rack and field wiring purposes. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and generate drawings for integrated customer projects - Coordinate with team members to complete drawings accurately and timely - Provide high-level customer service daily - Research components as needed for accurate depictions - Assist with projector and Screen Support Structure installations - Operate office printers/plotters and utilize labeling software for wiring purposes Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in AutoDesk AutoCAD - Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints - Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously - Knowledge of signal flow for audio, video, and control systems - Understanding of site surveys - Familiarity with Audio Visual, Mechanical, and Electrical facilities drawings - PC proficiency In terms of education and experience, a minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additionally, having at least 1 year of CAD experience and 1 year of customer interaction experience is preferred.
