Automotive Service Technician SME

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician SME to support a short-term curriculum and assessment development project.

Scope of Work

• Develop scheme document / course structure
• Create certificate content and learning outcomes
• Build a question bank (minimum 150 questions) covering theory, diagnostics, and practical application

Required Experience

• 15+ years of hands-on experience in automotive service or repair
• Strong exposure to engine systems (petrol & diesel) and workshop operations
• Prior experience in training, assessment, or technical documentation preferred

Key Skill Areas

• Automotive safety practices and workshop standards
• Engine, fuel, ignition, and powertrain systems
• Vehicle electrical basics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostics
• Use of scan tools, OBD-II, and fault troubleshooting
• Suspension, brakes, HVAC, and thermal systems
• Basic awareness of hybrid/EV systems and HV safety
