Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for tuning of Automotive Electro-Mech Systems ( Preferred in Air Handling Controllers, Actuators) and troubleshooting issues on various engines and vehicles. 2. Execution of various test scenarios on engine test cell and manual test bench. 3. Analyze the test cell/field data provided by testing engineers/engine customers and provide detailed reports on the issues reported. 4. Participating in design/change reviews, FMEA, DVP&R, OBD discussions. 5. Support global engine program teams for creating and updating certification documents in the Cummins standard format as needed by various regulatory agencies. Experience Required: 1. Ability to tune control systems calibration and basic scripting/data analysis. 2. Demonstrable capability in MATLAB, Simulink to develop/maintain/test/debug algorithms involved in development of typical control systems (like lookup tables, filters, PI/D loops, timers/counters) 3. Overall understanding of engine/machine control systems is highly desired. 4. Understanding of model based development workflows, code generators, build process is preferred. 5. Ability to synthesize controls functionality from prior written model/code, ability to debug and comprehend the potential change requests and updating/elicitation of the . Some competence in C code is desired but is not a must. 6. Good understanding of change/configuration management tool/s is desired.
