Job Purpose (Significance Of The Role & Objectives)
As an Automations and Control Engineer, you'll design and implement automated processes in industrial settings. Your role involves creating electrical designs, developing automated systems, overseeing installations, and ensuring smooth operations through testing and maintenance. You'll play a key role in enhancing efficiency and quality in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities And Deliverables
- Develop electrical designs, schematics, and drawings using CAD software.
- Design and implement automated processes in alignment with design specifications and application requirements.
- Lead the installation and commissioning process for machines, equipment, pneumatic controls, robots, and tools, ensuring adherence to standards and procedures.
- Plan and establish communication protocols according to ISA 95/IEC 62264 standards.
- Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs based on control architecture using platforms such as Rockwell and Siemens.
- Establish, implement, and integrate MES systems to monitor and control manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of automated systems, equipment, and devices to address any errors or malfunctions.
- Support and schedule preventive maintenance for all automated systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Track OEE performance, production, statistical and process control, and manage recipe management processes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including test plans, project designs, traceability records, protocols, and case studies.
Desired Qualifications: Required Qualification, Knowledge, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
- 04 - 08 years of hands-on experience in Mechanical, Tooling, Manufacturing, or Industrialization Engineering within an Automated Industrial Environment.
- Proficiency in industrial automation technologies including pneumatics, servo motion, robotics, AGV, adhesive dispensing, labeling, traceability, vision systems, safety systems, PLC, HMI, Fieldbus, Profibus, sensors, SCADA, and MES systems.
- Familiarity with ISA 95/88 standards and proven experience in Automation architecture implementation.
- Advantageous: Robot programming experience, particularly with Fanuc robots.
- Strong understanding of Industrial Networking and communication protocols such as Modbus, TCP, Ethernet TCP/IP, Device Net, Profinet, Profibus, EtherCAT, etc.
- Coding experience with Python, SQL, VBA, or similar languages.
