Role Overview:

The Automation Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and enhance automated scripts, frameworks, and tools for efficient software testing and delivery at India Software Centre. This position requires a deep understanding of automation technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for utilizing innovative solutions to drive efficiency and quality.

Mandatory Skills:

API Testing, automation testing, selenium, Postman

Shift Timings:

1:30 PM TO 10:30 PM

Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities :

1. Develop and maintain automation frameworks, tools, and scripts to support various aspects of software testing and delivery processes.

2. Collaborate with developers, testers, and PDMs to understand requirements and design robust, scalable, and efficient automation solutions.

3. Identify test case scenarios for automation and create test scripts accordingly.

4. Execute automation test scripts for Regression , Stage sanity and analyse test results to identify defects, inconsistencies, or areas for improvement.

5. Troubleshoot and debug issues related to automated scripts and frameworks.

6. Keep abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends to drive continuous improvement in automation processes.

7. Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical support to junior team members as required.

8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality assurance strategies and plans.

9. Document test cases, test plans, and other relevant technical documentation.

10. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) efforts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

2. Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in software testing and automation testing using Selenium, Java Script.

3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript.

4. API Test automation using Postman

5. Strong knowledge of automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD)) tools, and best practices.

6. Experience in AEM testing.

7. Strong knowledge in mobile web automation using Appium.

8. Experience in Functional, System , regression , Smoke testing.

9. Strong knowledge in jira , Qtest tools.

10. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and quality assurance processes.

11. Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins or Github.

12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex automation issues.

13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

14. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

15. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
