Job Description

Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
  • Execute automated and manual test cases to ensure product quality.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Perform regression, integration, functional, performance, and load testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Develop and maintain test frameworks using industry-standard tools.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily scrums, and other Agile activities.
  • Continuously improve test automation practices and coverage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 25 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.
  • Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, JUnit).
  • Experience in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure).
  • Exposure to version control tools (Git, Bitbucket).
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification.
