Job Summary:

Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain

  automated test scripts

  for web, mobile, and API-based applications.
• Build, enhance, and manage

  test automation frameworks

  using tools such as

  Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium

  , or

  TestNG

  .
• Integrate automation tests into

  CI/CD pipelines

  (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify

  test cases

  suitable for automation.
• Conduct

  functional, regression, integration, and performance testing

  .
• Identify, log, and track software defects using tools like

  JIRA

  ,

  Bugzilla

  , or

  Azure Test Plans

  .
• Ensure automation scripts are aligned with project priorities and testing standards.
  
• Perform

  API automation testing

  using tools like

  Postman

  ,

  RestAssured

  Karate

• Generate test reports, metrics, and dashboards for tracking quality trends.
  
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and QA review meetings in

  Agile/Scrum

  environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  
• 3–6 years of experience in

  software testing

  , with at least 2+ years in

  test automation

  .
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g.,

  Java, Python, C#, JavaScript

  ).
• Hands-on experience with

  test automation tools and frameworks

  such as:
• Selenium WebDriver / TestNG / JUnit
  
• Cypress / Playwright / Puppeteer
  
• Appium (for mobile automation)
  
• Postman / RestAssured (for API automation)
  
• Experience with

  version control systems

  (Git, Bitbucket, etc.).
• Understanding of

  SDLC

  ,

  STLC

  Agile / Scrum

  methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Experience with

  Performance Testing

  tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling).
• Knowledge of

  integration and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to

  Cloud testing environments

  (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with

  BDD frameworks

• Test automation certification (e.g.,

  ISTQB Test Automation Engineer
