Automation Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
  
• Troubleshoot and repair automation-related issues in production lines such as filling, capping, labeling, and packaging.
  
• Program and configure PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.) and integrate with sensors, actuators, and drives.
  
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of instruments, control valves, and process automation devices.
  
• Analyze machine performance data and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
  
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operation of automated systems.
  
• Maintain documentation for electrical drawings, control logic, and system configurations.
  
• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with food and beverage industry standards.
  
• Assist in new equipment installation, commissioning, and validation activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• 25 years of experience in automation, preferably in beverages / food & FMCG manufacturing industry.
  
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.) and SCADA systems.
  
• Familiar with VFDs, Servo Drives, and Industrial Communication Protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
  
• Understanding of electrical and instrumentation diagrams.
  
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting high-speed filling and packaging lines.
  
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards is an advantage.
