Automation & Controls Supervisor (BMS/BAS Supervisor) Division:Mechanical or Electrical Reports to:Head of Mechanical/Electrical Division Position Type:Full-Time, Supervisory

Position Summary:
The Automation& Controls Supervisor is responsible for the design and implementation of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Automation Systems (BAS). This role bridges the gap between mechanical HVAC systems and electrical/ELV systems, focusing on control logic, sequence of operations, and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of controls engineers and specialists.
Develop detailed sequences of operations (SOO) for HVAC and other building systems.
Design and review BMS/BAS control drawings, wiring diagrams, network architectures, and points lists.
Specify DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, and third-party integration protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks).
Work closely with the HVAC and Electrical teams to ensure proper integration of controlled systems.
Oversee software programming and graphics development for the BMS.
Support commissioning and functional performance testing of control systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Controls Engineering.
7+ years of hands-on experience in BMS/BAS design and engineering.
Experience supervising a technical team.
Deep knowledge of control theory, HVAC systems, and integration protocols.
Familiarity with major BMS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Honeywell).
Professional Engineer (PE) or relevant certification is a plus.
