AutoCAD Designer

Design and model mechanical components and DIY kits using Fusion 360 Create exploded views, step-by-step assembly guides, and technical illustrations for student use Collaborate with STEM educators, curriculum developers, and the product testing team Optimize designs for ease of manufacturing (laser cutting, 3D printing, etc.) Ensure components are safe, scalable, and educationally impactful Conduct design reviews, prototyping, and iterate based on feedback Contribute to a library of reusable parts and templates Maintain high standards in documentation and design versioning Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field Proficiency in Fusion 360 – especially in assembly design, animation, and drawing modules Strong understanding of mechanical modeling and prototyping Ability to translate mechanical concepts into engaging, child-friendly DIY products Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes like laser cutting, 3D printing, CNC Ability to create instructional visuals, assembly animations, or instruction booklets Attention to detail, visual clarity, and accuracy in all product documentation Experience in STEM/EdTech/DIY kits is a plus Preferred: Familiarity with design thinking and user-centric product development Understanding of child safety standards in product design Passion for education, innovation, and empowering young minds Prior experience in creating educational or science-based DIY kits What You’ll Get: Opportunity to be part of a mission-driven company changing how science is taught Work with a dynamic and passionate team of educators and innovators Exposure to end-to-end product lifecycle – from idea to launch Growth opportunities in product innovation, EdTech design, and leadership
