Auto Cartonator & Serialization Machine Operator (Hicart)

Role & responsibilities

1. Machine Operation & Setup

• Operate the

  Hicart Auto Cartonator machine

  for packing blister strips or bottles into cartons as per batch requirements.
• Set machine parameters, adjust feeders, glue units, and sensors for smooth and continuous operation.
• Perform changeovers and line clearance activities as per SOP.
• Operate the

  Serialization / Track & Trace

  system to print and verify unique codes on cartons.

2. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure that each pack meets quality and regulatory requirements (correct coding, label placement, and carton sealing).
• Perform

  in-process checks (IPCs)

  such as:
• Barcode and data matrix code verification
• Carton integrity and sealing checks
• Reconciliation of printed materials and labels
• Record all results and deviations in Batch Packing Records (BPRs).
• Coordinate with QA for line clearance and online quality checks.

3. Serialization System Management

• Operate and monitor serialization and aggregation software systems (e.g., Track & Trace).
• Ensure printing of

  GS1-compliant 2D barcodes

  and verification through vision systems.
• Manage rework, reprints, and data uploads as per SOPs.
• Report serialization system alarms or communication issues immediately to IT or engineering support.

4. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of machines.
• Identify and troubleshoot minor machine issues to minimize downtime.
• Support engineering team during breakdown maintenance and format changeovers.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records in BMR/BPR, equipment usage logs, and cleaning records.
• Ensure proper reconciliation of printed and unprinted packaging materials.
• Report and document deviations, breakdowns, and machine performance issues

6. Safety & GMP Compliance

• Adhere strictly to

  GMP, GDP, and EHS

  guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of the machine and surrounding area as per SOPs.
• Use PPE and follow all safety procedures during operation and maintenance activities.

Preferred candidate profile

Key Skills:

• Knowledge of cartoning operations and serialization processes.
• Familiarity with 2D barcode printing and verification systems.
• Understanding of GMP, GDP, and data integrity requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
