Internal Auditor – Job Description

Job Summary

Utkarsh Global Foundation is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Auditor to evaluate and strengthen internal controls, systems, and compliance across key departments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Finance & Accounts Audit, HR Audit, and Administration Audit to help improve organizational processes, compliance and governance.

Key Responsibilities1. Internal Audit & Compliance

• Plan, execute, and report internal audit activities across Finance & Accounts, HR, and Administration functions.
• Evaluate existing controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify gaps, operational risks, and process inefficiencies.
• Recommend corrective actions and support implementation of improvements.
• Ensure adherence to internal compliance frameworks and applicable statutory guidelines.

2. Finance & Accounts Audit

• Conduct comprehensive audits of financial transactions, accounting records, cash & bank operations, and expense claims.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of ledgers, invoices, vouchers, receipts, and financial documentation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial policies, and internal control procedures.
• Highlight discrepancies and suggest improvements to strengthen financial controls.

3. HR Audit

• Review HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Audit employee records, payroll processing, attendance systems, leave management, and statutory compliance (e.g., labour laws).
• Evaluate recruitment processes, onboarding, employee benefits, performance appraisals, and training programs.
• Identify gaps in people management practices and recommend corrective measures.

4. Administration & Operations Audit

• Audit administrative functions such as procurement, vendor management, contract compliance, and facility operations.
• Review documentation related to agreements, purchases, payments, and office expenditures.
• Inspect inventory control, fixed asset management, and usage of organizational resources.
• Suggest improvements in administrative efficiency and cost control.

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare clear, concise, and structured audit reports with key findings, identified risks, and actionable recommendations.
• Present audit results to senior management and support departments in implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain organized audit files, work papers, and documentation for internal and external review.

Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in internal audit, with exposure to Finance & Accounts, HR, and Admin audit functions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
