Audit Associate/Audit Preparer

As a candidate for this position with a US-based organization in Hyderabad, you will be responsible for the following: - Execute general audit procedures, including coordinating audit closing communications, drafting client correspondence, identifying open issues, and preparing financial statements. - Perform other accounting, auditing, and consulting duties as required in engagements and assigned by supervisory personnel. - Assist with more complex segments of audit and accounting engagements. - Work with the team to design audit procedures using audit technology and innovation tools. - Research accounting and auditing matters and document conclusions. - Work remotely with the team and communicate clearly with the US-based engagement team and clients about engagement expectations. - Build your technical and professional skills through formal training. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or a related field. - 2-5 years of public accounting experience. - Meeting or pursuing education requirements for CPA certification (or equivalent) in your location. - Analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including a well-rounded knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, AICPA, PCAOB rules, and standards. - Solid organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask. - Exercise professional skepticism in the critical assessment of audit evidence. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong proficiency in using Microsoft programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Visio. - Understand and comply with the firm's quality control policy.
