Assurance - Debt & Equity Valuation - Associate

As a Senior Associate in the Financial Markets Business Advisory services at PwC, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of audit, regulatory, valuation, and financial analyses services. Your role will involve designing solutions to address complex accounting and financial reporting challenges, as well as broader business issues. Your key responsibilities in this role include: - Analysing third party valuations by challenging assumptions and performing sensitivity analysis on a wide range of illiquid investments across industries and geographies while using accepted and relevant approaches and theory - Developing deep technical strength in the valuation of alternative assets, serving as a firm resource for that expertise - Reporting and presenting analysis and conclusions including written reports, and drafting valuation queries for audit team - Conducting valuation-related work including constructing and reviewing valuation models such as DCF, comparable company/bond, option pricing model, waterfall allocation methods, etc. - Demonstrating an understanding of the Debt & Equity industry, Startup and VC funding, and the capital structure of private companies - Having an end-to-end understanding of various nuances in arriving at fair valuation of private company shares - Analyzing key financial metrics depending on the portfolio company's industry, identifying historical trends, and performing calibration analysis to understand the key drivers causing changes in the company's valuation in each reporting period - Playing a role in discussions, proactively asking questions, and sharing an informed point of view As part of the team of problem solvers, you will be expected to use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness, delegate tasks to provide growth opportunities, demonstrate critical thinking, and use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from industry trends. Your role will be integral in providing valuation services to PwC audit companies and non-audit companies related to various debt/equity investments and valuation of portfolio companies.
