Job Description

As a Business Development Manager in the hospitality industry, your primary responsibility will be to develop new business opportunities, manage existing accounts, and achieve revenue targets. You will be instrumental in identifying and approaching potential clients, building strong relationships, and negotiating deals to drive business growth. Your key responsibilities will include: - Building and nurturing a strong network of travel agents to drive business and sales through third-party channels. - Generating and managing inquiries for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events and establishing long-term relationships with corporate clients. - Driving sales for weddings and special events, overseeing the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure. - Participating in sales and networking activities such as travel fairs, site visits, and corporate meetings to generate new business opportunities and strengthen industry connections. - Working towards achieving and exceeding sales targets set by management, with a focus on increasing hotel occupancy and revenue. - Identifying new market opportunities and generating sales in untapped regions. - Effectively negotiating with clients, especially for wedding groups and large events, to ensure successful deal closure. - Regularly visiting corporate clients to maintain and enhance relationships. To excel in this role, you should possess: - A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in B2B Sales within the hospitality industry. - Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of closing deals and driving revenue growth. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage clients at all levels. - In-depth understanding of the Kerala tourism and hospitality market, along with a robust network of industry contacts. - Self-motivation, goal-orientation, and the ability to meet or exceed sales targets. This is a full-time position based in the Cochin / Kochi area, with benefits including cell phone reimbursement and commuter assistance. The work schedule is during the day shift, and the role requires in-person work.
