Asst Manager - Product costing and Analysis

Role & responsibilities

• Product Costing & Standard Costing:

• Maintain and update standard cost in SAP S/4HANA.
• Analyze cost changes and their impact on product profitability.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams for cost estimation and control.

• Inventory & Material Ledger Management:

• Perform monthly inventory valuations using Material Ledger in SAP S/4HANA.
• Reconcile physical and system inventory and ensure proper costing of goods issued/received.
• Ensure accurate BOM and routing data for costing purposes.

• Cost Control & Variance Analysis:

• Monitor production costs and perform detailed variance analysis (standard vs actual).
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and work with departments to implement them.
• Track and report cost drivers and trends using SAP reporting tools.

• Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Support preparation of cost-related components of the annual budget.
• Use SAP tools to forecast cost trends and support business planning.
• Provide cost simulations for new or modified products.

• Audit & Compliance:

• Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure adherence to ICWA/CMA standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cost Accountant with expertise in SAP S/4HANA to join our finance team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing company or any process manufacturing industry. This role involves handling product costing, cost control, variance analysis, and inventory valuation using SAP S/4HANA. Strong analytical skills and cross-functional collaboration are essential.
