Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Development:
Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for direct materials.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with domestic and international vendors.
Build long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure supply continuity.
Procurement Planning & Execution:
Collaborate with production, planning, and R&D to understand material requirements.
Prepare and implement procurement strategies in alignment with production timelines.
Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or excess holding.
Cost Optimization:
Drive cost-saving initiatives through value engineering, alternate sourcing, and price negotiations.
Conduct market analysis to understand price trends and proactively manage procurement risks.
Quality & Compliance:
Ensure all procured materials comply with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements
Coordinate with QA/QC teams for vendor audits, documentation, and certifications.

Data Management & Reporting:
Maintain accurate procurement records
Generate reports for purchase spend, vendor performance, and procurement KPIs.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate must have knowledge of:

* Global and local raw material markets

*Regulatory compliance in pharma procurement

*Incoterms, import/export documentation
