The Head - MEP is responsible for leading, standardizing, and overseeing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects across all projects within the organization. This role ensures that MEP designs are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with local regulations, while also streamlining approvals from authorities. The role involves developing enterprise-wide MEP strategies, reviewing designs,and ensuring value engineering.Responsibilities
Head MEP Design
Enterprise-Wide MEP Strategy & Standardization
Develop and implement organization-wide MEP standards, guidelines, and best practices across all projects.Establish uniform design principles, material specifications, and quality benchmarks to maintain consistency.Ensure all MEP solutions align with cost-effectiveness, constructability, safety, sustainability, and timeline reduction goals.Project Support & RFP Development
Prepare Request for Proposals (RFPs) covering all MEP requirements for multiple projects.Guide project teams and consultants in defining technical specifications and ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.Ensure value engineering in MEP design to optimize cost, efficiency, and performance while maintaining quality.Regulatory Compliance & Approvals
Partner with the liaison team to obtain all MEP-related approvals from local and national authorities.Engage with regulatory bodies to explain projects, technical justifications, and design compliance.Monitor and streamline approval processes to reduce delays and ensure regulatory compliance across projects.Quality Assurance & Cost Optimization
Ensure MEP installations meet quality standards while optimizing cost and efficiency.Establish quality control protocols to monitor contractor and consultant performance.Implement innovative solutions to enhance safety, reliability, and sustainability in MEP designs.Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead and mentor a team of MEP engineers, consultants, and project specialists across different projects.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution of MEP-related activities.Engage with senior management to align MEP strategies with overall business objectives.Key Stakeholders - Internal

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Civil Structural Engineering or a related field.Work Experience (Range Of Years)
15-20 YearsPreferred Industry
Experience in MEP engineering, large-scale infrastructure, and quality management, with a strong background in MEP design, execution, and approvals. Expertise in MEP systems, electrical load calculations, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, automation, local building codes, compliance regulations, value engineering, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
