Associate - TRS/MUM/0938 - TRS - US Tax

You will be joining BDO India as a Senior Associate in the TRS- Direct Tax (US Tax) department based in Mumbai. As a part of the team, your role will involve managing the offshore team in India and reporting to the onshore reporting manager. You will be responsible for ensuring that project tasks, deadlines, and expectations are met efficiently. Additionally, you will collaborate with the onshore team in the US to ensure effective teamwork between both offshore and onshore teams. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the offshore team in India and report to the onshore reporting manager - Ensure project tasks, deadlines, and expectations are met - Prepare deliverables for completeness, quality, and consistency - Collaborate effectively with the onshore team in the US - Demonstrate superior verbal and written communication skills - Utilize strong analytical, research, critical thinking, and decision-making skills - Work effectively in a team environment - Develop and maintain client relationships - Possess working knowledge of federal 1040/1120/1065, multi-state tax returns (SALT), and the international portion of US federal tax returns - Manage and ensure appropriate tax accounting in the general ledger - Identify open items and communicate with managers - Pursue CPA or Enrolled Agent certification or have relevant experience in US Tax Laws - Hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a Master's degree in accounting or taxation being beneficial - Have experience with Microsoft Office Tools, tax research databases, and tax compliance process software Qualifications Required: - CA / CMA/ CA Inter/ MBA - Bachelor's degree in accounting or a relevant field - Master's degree in accounting (beneficial) or taxation (preferred) - CPA or Enrolled Agent certification (or in the process of pursuing) or relevant experience in US Tax Laws About BDO India: BDO India specializes in providing corporate and international tax advice to clients, aiming to help businesses achieve their objectives efficiently.
