Associate - TRS

As a Senior Associate in the TRS- Direct Tax (US Tax) department at BDO India, your primary role will involve managing the offshore team in India and reporting to the onshore reporting manager. It is crucial for you to ensure that project tasks, deadlines, and expectations are met efficiently. Your responsibilities will include preparing deliverables with high standards of completeness, quality, and consistency. Collaboration with the onshore team in the US is essential to ensure effective coordination between both teams. You are expected to possess superior verbal and written communication skills, along with strong analytical, research, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities. Working well in a team environment and maintaining client relationships are key aspects of this role. Your knowledge should encompass federal 1040/1120/1065 tax returns, multi-state tax returns (SALT), and international portions of US federal tax returns. Additionally, managing tax accounting in the general ledger, identifying open items, and effective communication with managers are vital responsibilities. Pursuing a CPA or Enrolled Agent certification, or possessing relevant experience in US Tax Laws, is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a relevant field is required, with a Master's degree in accounting or taxation being beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools, tax research databases like BNA and RIA, and tax compliance process software is necessary for this role.
