Job Description

Role Overview: As a Transport Planner Leader at Buro Happold, you will be responsible for managing internal and external teams to complete complex planning, engineering, and policy assignments, specifically in the mobility sector. You will oversee masterplanning projects, develop project work plans, scopes, timelines, costing, and analytical frameworks. Additionally, you will build a strong portfolio of clients, guide and manage junior staff, and disseminate knowledge and skills throughout the team. Key Responsibilities: - Manage internal and external teams to complete complex planning, engineering, and policy assignments in the mobility sector - Oversee masterplanning projects, including developing project work plans, scopes, timelines, costing, and specific analytical frameworks - Assist in creating reports, presentations, models, and other deliverables for clients - Build a strong portfolio of clients and pursue business development opportunities - Guide and manage junior staff, disseminate knowledge and skills throughout the team - Maintain an accurate understanding of current and future market trends and respond to evolving markets - Act as a spokesperson for Buro Happold Cities across various platforms and media to promote the firm's view on cities, mobility, and infrastructure Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of relevant experience in mobility planning, working on multi-disciplinary projects in urban development and/or infrastructure - Master's degree or equivalent in planning or civil engineering - Ability to communicate effectively with built-environment professionals such as engineers, planners, policy officials, etc. - Critical analytic thinking capabilities - Passion for intelligent planning/engineering solutions and challenges in the built-environment - Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects against tight timelines - Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills to communicate complex planning concepts effectively - Mentorship capabilities to develop the professional skills of junior staff Additional Company Details: At Buro Happold, we value flexible approaches to working patterns and welcome applications from individuals seeking career flexibility.
