Associate Systems Support Engineer(SQL, Windows Server)

As a Support Consultant / Technical Support Consultant at Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, you will be a crucial part of the IT operations team. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor and maintain the performance of critical systems, ensuring the uptime and availability of applications and infrastructure. You will work with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, LogicMonitor, and Azure Monitor, as well as monitor SQL databases, Windows servers, and Internet Information Services (IIS). Your role will involve providing L1 and L2 support while ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). You will conduct regular health checks, performance tuning of SQL databases, oversee Windows servers and IIS functionality, monitor interface subsystems, and provide first-level support for system incidents. Additionally, you will maintain documentation, participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure 24/7 uptime of critical systems. As a successful candidate, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. You should also possess 2-4 years of experience in a systems monitoring and support role, familiarity with application performance monitoring tools, knowledge of SQL databases, Windows Server administration, IIS management, networking concepts, and troubleshooting techniques. Proficiency in troubleshooting system issues, performing root cause analysis, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential. Availability to work in a 24x7 environment, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations, is required. Preferred qualifications include understanding of monitoring tools like AppDynamics and LogicMonitor, familiarity with healthcare applications, and knowledge of ITIL best practices and frameworks.
