Associate QA Lead

As an experienced Quality Assurance professional, you will be responsible for leading QA efforts for major software projects in a full-stack environment, with expertise in test automation frameworks and modern programming languages. Your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable test automation frameworks, starting from scratch. - Utilizing your proficiency in modern programming languages like JavaScript or TypeScript to enhance test automation processes. - Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of test automation tools for both front-end (UI) and back-end (API) testing, including frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Postman, Newman, Mocha, and Chai. - Conducting performance testing using tools like JMeter and Lighthouse for API and front-end performance evaluation. - Applying solid understanding of testing methodologies such as unit testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and regression testing. - Leveraging experience with version control systems like Git to manage testing processes effectively. - Creating, documenting, and managing comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases. - Leading and mentoring a small team of QA engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables. - Using excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, reproduce, and report defects. - Collaborating effectively with developers, product managers, and stakeholders through strong communication skills. - Applying knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Desirable qualifications and skills for this role include: - Prior experience as a developer, even for a brief period, to deepen the understanding of the codebase. - Knowledge of security testing practices like OWASP and penetration testing. - Familiarity with non-functional testing, including accessibility testing. - Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and CircleCI. - Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure and their impact on application infrastructure. - Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker. - Knowledge of additional testing frameworks and tools like Jest, Mocha, Chai, and monitoring/logging tools like ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana. - Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Foundation Level or Agile Tester. - Strong attention to detail, proactive approach to quality, and experience with defect tracking and project management tools like Jira, Trello, and Asana.,
