Associate Professor of Economics

Role Overview: As an Associate Professor (Economics or Statistics) at Globsyn Business School, your main responsibilities will include teaching, mentoring students, and actively participating in institutional building activities. You will also be involved in developing the program curriculum based on market requirements, enrolling and placing students, organizing MDPs & FDPs, collaborating with industry for consulting assignments, and demonstrating research proficiency by writing and publishing articles globally. Key Responsibilities: - Teach and mentor students while actively participating in institutional building activities - Develop program curriculum in association with the Knowledge Cell under the supervision of the Principal - Participate in enrollment and placement activities of the institution - Organize a requisite number of MDPs & FDPs with international & domestic universities - Consult with large domestic or international companies as per NBA criteria - Collaborate with industry for consulting assignments - Demonstrate a high degree of research proficiency by writing and publishing articles domestically and globally - Connect with Alumni for various institute activities - Participate in external professional forums, seminars, conferences, etc. - Undertake administrative duties as directed by the Head of Department - Contribute to the growth of the educational institution at local, regional, and global levels - Encourage and motivate students through experiential learning beyond the classroom Qualification Required: - Doctorate degree in Economics or Statistics - Master's in Economics or Statistics with a minimum of 60% marks from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university - At least 8 years of experience in teaching, research, or industry with a minimum of 2 years of Post Ph.D. experience - At least 6 research publications in ABDC/SCI journals or UGC/AICTE approved list of journals - Articles published in various databases such as SCOPUS, ABDC, UGC CARE, WEB OF SCIENCE, SCIMAGO, SAGE, PRO-QUEST, JSTOR, SJIF, EBSCO, FT 50, etc. - Books published with ISBN and journals published with ISSN and preferably DOI Note: Globsyn Business School is open to considering outstation candidates and those willing to relocate to Kolkata for this position.,
