Job Description

Work Flexibility:

An Associate Mako Product Specialist provides hands-on support for Stryker's Mako robotic-arm assisted orthopedic surgery system, including pre-operative planning using CT scans, in-surgery assistance for surgeons and staff, post-surgery product support, and training to ensure optimal device utilization and outcomes. Key duties involve managing local equipment and inventory, providing customer education, resolving technical issues, and documenting case information and customer feedback for product and procedural improvements. This role supports the sales process by demonstrating the product's clinical value and engaging with hospitals to increase procedure volume.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-operative Planning:
Utilize proprietary software to process patient CT scans for pre-operative planning, including implant selection, sizing, and positioning.
Training and Education:
Provide comprehensive training to physicians, hospital staff, and OR personnel on the Mako system, associated accessories, and disposables.
Technical & Customer Support:
Act as a technical expert to resolve product issues for customers, provide timely and accurate complaint reporting, and offer case coverage for unassigned accounts.
Inventory Management:
Maintain and control local inventories of Mako robotic equipment, instruments, and disposables.
Sales & Marketing Support:
Support company demonstrations and roadshows, provide forecast input to sales teams, and help develop referral bases to increase procedure volume.
Documentation & Reporting:
Document case details, report on surgeries and educational events, and gather data to provide feedback for product, documentation, and methodology improvements to management and regulatory departments.
Account Growth:
Collaborate with key hospital staff, thought leaders, and referring doctors to foster relationships and drive growth for Mako procedures.
