Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Collect and Process data and intelligence. Help develop and maintain databases on industry intelligence. Help screen low to moderately complex business proposals using pre-defined filtering criteria. Extract pertinent data from feasibility studies as inputs to business planning.

Research, identify, evaluate, and pursue potential new business opportunities across targeted sectors as per companys strategic framework.
Conduct market research, market assessment, industry analysis and competitive benchmarking to assess the investment opportunities.
Conduct market intelligence, track policy developments and regulatory changes, to prepare periodic reports/research papers on various sectors relevant to the Company.
Support pre-feasibility and feasibility studies to establish technical, financial and marketing viability of new ventures. Support the development of economic financial models for moderately complex business ventures
Follow relevant industry news independently and update senior staff
Attend relevant industry events for information collection and networking purposes. Support presentation development.
Help assess 3rd party business plans for investment prioritization.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Manager

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum of 2-5 years of work experience in business development, will have some industry expertise or knowledge of specific venturing activities, financial modeling such as commercialization, spin-offs or joint venturing.
