About the Department:

Financial Process Services (FPS) is a vertical of TresVista that works with major clients in the spectrum of the financial services industry. FPS caters to their needs related to accounting & financial data extraction and spreading and enables holistic view based on summarized data & information which is consumed at various levels and by finance professionals. Exposure to processes related to core finance and accounting clubbed with innovative techniques and software adds value to the professional growth of aspirants looking for a career in the industry of finance

The Role & Responsibilities

• Own and execute end-to-end accounting operations for multiple client entities, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accounting frameworks such as US GAAP or IFRS
• Manage journal entries, accruals, prepayments, amortizations, and reconciliations across key accounts including bank, intercompany, fixed assets, accruals, and deferred revenue
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, prepare trial balances, review management reports, and perform variance analysis to provide actionable insights to client stakeholders
• Support external and internal audit activities by coordinating responses, providing data and supporting documentation, and ensuring timely resolution of audit inquiries and compliance requirements such as VAT/TAX reconciliations
• Serve as the primary liaison for client accounting teams including Controllers, Accounting Managers, and CFOs, maintaining transparency, proactive communication, and alignment on deliverables
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation to ensure consistency, control adherence, and audit readiness across engagements
• Identify process gaps and opportunities for automation within workflows, collaborating with cross-functional and technology teams to drive improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
• Utilize ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks, along with analytical tools like Excel and Power BI, to perform reconciliations, validate data, and prepare management dashboards and performance reports
• Mentor and review the work of analysts to ensure quality and consistency in deliverables, while promoting a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team

Prerequisites

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (US GAAP / IFRS)
• Proficiency in ERP and reporting tools such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.
• Expertise in data analysis and reporting using advanced Excel (formulas, pivots, lookups, automation) and visualization tools such as Power BI
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data effectively
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience collaborating with senior finance professionals
• Proven experience managing teams and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, client-centric environment
• High degree of ownership, attention to detail, and professional integrity

Experience

5-8 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance operations, or outsourced service delivery

Education

Finance graduate / MBA with finance specialization
