Associate, Financial Process Services (Reporting)

About the Department:

Financial Process Services (FPS) is a vertical of TresVista that works with major clients in the spectrum of the financial services industry. FPS caters to their needs related to accounting & financial data extraction and spreading and enables holistic view based on summarized data & information which is consumed at various levels and by finance professionals. Exposure to processes related to core finance and accounting clubbed with innovative techniques and software adds value to the professional growth of aspirants looking for a career in the finance industry.

Role & Responsibilities

• Collating, spreading, normalizing, and analyzing financial data from statements, schedules, broker reports, and market sources; calculating key operating and performance metrics (EBITDA, ROE, IRR, etc.) and performing data integrity checks with audit trail maintenance
• Preparing investor and fund reports, dashboards, and fact sheets, including portfolio performance monitoring, capital call/distribution notices, exposure reporting, and validating financial KPIs against source documents
• Enriching and maintaining financial databases, creating/updating cap tables, ensuring accurate segmentation, and aligning with IFRS/GAAP standards
• Creating monthly and ad-hoc analytical reports with actionable insights for stakeholders and management
• Serving as the primary client contact, engaging with senior finance leaders, and ensuring clear communication between internal teams and external stakeholders
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation to ensure consistency, control adherence, and audit readiness across engagements
• Identify process gaps and opportunities for automation within workflows, collaborating with cross-functional and technology teams to drive improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
• Mentor and review the work of analysts to ensure quality and consistency in deliverables, while promoting a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team

Prerequisites

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (US GAAP / IFRS)
• Expertise in financial statement analysis, alternative investment markets, fund structures, and related instruments
• Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting using Excel (formulas, pivots, lookups, automation) and visualization tools like Power BI
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience interpreting financial and operational data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management, collaborating effectively with senior finance professionals.
• Proven experience in team leadership, performance management, and delivering results in fast-paced, client-centric environments.
• High degree of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to process improvements and automation.

Experience

5-8 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance operations, or outsourced service delivery

Education

Finance graduate / MBA with finance specialization
