Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Technical Excellence:

Your main objective is to partner and build relationships with the client and play a lead role in client service delivery. You will play a leadership role and be responsible for mentoring and developing the team.

  • Conceptualizing and structuring mergers & acquisition, and corporate restructuring strategies from tax and regulatory perspective.
  • Providing advice on relevant laws and statutes pertaining to mergers, acquisitions, corporate restructuring. Key statutes handled include direct tax laws, Company Law regulations, securities laws, exchange control regulations, stamp duty laws.
  • Lead multiple complex tax engagements, planning and day-to-day delivery.
  • Implementation support for scheme of mergers / arrangements
  • Conducting due-diligence reviews on prospective target companies from a historical and future tax perspective
  • Lead and coordinate the planning and management of medium / large assignments, independently: Pricing, Billing and Recovery, Maximize fee opportunity.
  • Display strong interpersonal and outward leadership skills including the ability to build relationships within as well as outside the Firm.
  • Develop sound value-based solutions and apply technical knowledge and strategic thinking in delivery of solutions to clients.
  • Leading and managing client relationships to ensure seamless execution. Develop appropriate client relationships and identify further client opportunities.
  • Keep up to date on developments in tax and regulatory space FEMA, SEBI, Corporate Laws, etc.
  • Write articles on topics relating to the M&A Tax and direct tax matters.

Business Development:

  • Develop and Implement accounts strategy for DAS offerings targeted at clients.
  • Develop and sell solutions for the M&A tax practice as part of the BD initiative.
  • Periodic monitoring and reporting of sales opportunities, pipeline and wins.

Soft skills:

  • Good communications skills
  • Work from office readiness for a minimum 5 working days/week.
  • Ability to travel for client related work.
  • Commercial awareness
