Job Description

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities

A. Strategic Collections Management

  • Develop and implement comprehensive collection strategies tailored to global clients, ensuring timely realization of receivables.
  • Monitor aging reports and DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) across regions and customer segments.
  • Partner with sales, legal, and finance teams to drive resolution of disputed invoices

B. Client Relationship & Escalation Management

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key customer finance and procurement contacts to expedite collections.
  • Act as the single point of contact for escalations from high-value customers, ensuring swift resolution and client satisfaction.

C. Sector-Specific Collection Execution

  • Customize collection efforts for high-complexity sectors like BFSI, Government, and Telecom, considering regulatory, audit, and compliance nuances.
  • Leverage industry knowledge to negotiate and collect from public-sector and multinational clients.

D. Compliance & Risk Mitigation

  • Ensure collections are executed in compliance with local and international laws (e.g., SOX, GDPR, tax regulations).
  • Highlight high-risk accounts proactively to senior leadership and recommend legal or commercial interventions.

E. Process Improvement & Automation

  • Drive process enhancements through automation tools (e.g., ERP, dunning workflows, AI-based risk flags).
  • Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across geographies for uniform collection practices.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B collections, with at least 5 years in a leadership or global collections role.
  • Prior experience in CPaaS, SaaS, Telecom, or BFSI domains is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in handling large enterprise or public sector receivables (>100 Cr or USD 10M portfolios).

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with collection tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle AR, HighRadius, Salesforce).
  • Analytical mindset with hands-on experience in reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
  • Multilingual proficiency or experience working across geographies is a plus.
