Associate Director/ Director - Audit & Assurance

You are an experienced and technically proficient audit professional sought by Durity, a global accounting and compliance firm operating in the USA and India. As an Associate Director/ Director in the Audit & Assurance practice, you will lead and manage assurance engagements for a diverse clientele, including privately held, mid-market, and large unlisted companies across various industries. Your key responsibilities include overseeing all phases of the audit process, such as planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and finalization to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality outcomes. You will actively engage in audit execution, from designing sampling strategies to reviewing working papers and resolving audit-related issues. Your role will involve interpreting and applying Indian accounting standards (Ind AS / AS), auditing standards (SAs), and regulatory requirements under the Companies Act. To excel in this position, you must build strong client relationships by gaining a deep understanding of their businesses, internal controls, and financial processes. Additionally, you will mentor and develop junior team members to create a culture of learning, quality, and continuous improvement. Collaboration with internal teams, including Direct Tax, Transfer Pricing, and Indirect Tax, is essential to provide integrated client services effectively. As a Chartered Accountant with 8-12 years of relevant experience in statutory audit and assurance, you are expected to possess a strong technical knowledge of Indian accounting standards, Companies Act audit requirements, and auditing standards. Your proven track record in managing audits for private clients, mid-sized businesses, large unlisted companies, or listed entities will be valuable. A practical, hands-on approach with a focus on quality, risk management, and providing value-added insights is crucial for success in this role.
