Associate Counselor

Role Overview: As an Associate Counselor at The College Tribe, you will be an integral part of our close-knit and fast-growing team. Your main responsibility will be guiding students through the college admissions process, assisting them in building their profiles, brainstorming and editing essays, conducting profile reviews, tracking deadlines, preparing students for interviews, and conducting research on universities and programs. You will also be expected to communicate regularly with parents and students, support in conducting various educational events, and contribute to the overall success of the company. Key Responsibilities: - Guide students through the entire college admissions process, offering support from profile building to final university selection. - Brainstorm and edit college essays and personal statements collaboratively with students. - Conduct detailed profile reviews and provide suggestions for improvement based on students" goals. - Ensure timely submission of application materials by tracking deadlines and requirements. - Prepare students for college interviews and assist in creating activity lists, resumes, and portfolios. - Maintain regular communication with parents and students, offering updates and clarification. - Conduct research on universities, programs, and evolving admissions trends. - Assist in organizing webinars, school outreach sessions, and student workshops. Qualifications Required: - Have personal experience studying abroad or navigating the admissions process. - Possess a minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience. - Demonstrate proficiency in writing to effectively communicate ideas. - Display characteristics of patience, proactiveness, quick research skills, and efficient follow-up abilities. - Show enthusiasm for learning, contributing to cross-functional teams, and growing within the organization.
