Key Responsibilities: 1, Console Monitoring: Watch console messages, alerts, and logs using tools like BMC MainView, IBM NetView, or OMEGAMON and take action when needed. 2, Batch Job Monitoring: Monitor and manage batch jobs using tools such as Stonebranch, CA7, or Control-M. Handle restarts and abends as per the runbook. 3, Incident Handling: Respond to console and batch alerts or errors and inform support teams such as CICS, DB2, Storage, Network, or z/OS when required. 4, Message Management: Reply to console messages, mount volumes, and run commands following standard instructions. 5, Documentation: Maintain shift logs, update incident tickets, and record all console and batch activities. 6, Change & Maintenance Support: Assist during IPL, maintenance, and scheduled system changes with technical teams. 7, Automation Support: Use automation tools like Stonebranch or BMC AMI Ops to streamline console and batch operations. 8, Shift Operations: Work in a 24x7 rotational shift, ensuring proper handover between shifts.
