Position: Associate - Child Protection Organisation: A Leading NGO Qualification: Graduate/Post Graduate in Social Work/Development Studies Experience: 6-10 years in Child Rights and Safeguarding Location: Mumbai Key Responsibilities - Field Engagement Regular field visits across Palghar district and Greater Mumbai Metropolitan region Leading and supporting community-based activities and field-level mobilization efforts. Co-designing community engagement programs, their implementation and building local presence. Community mobilization & stakeholder engagement Facilitate qualitative and quantitative insights from communities using participatory rural appraisal tools (transect walks, social mapping, resource mapping, etc.). Liaison with key stakeholders which include from village, block to district level. Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with key community stakeholders, including leaders, service providers, and local institutions. Organize and participate in field-based engagement activities along with assisting in coordination and logistics for on-ground program initiatives. Qualification And Other Requirements A graduate or postgraduate degree (Master’s) in Social Work, Psychology, Development Studies, or a related field. Candidates with a Master’s in Social Work and substantial relevant experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Minimum 6 -7 years of working experience, including at least 4-5 years of field-based work. However, candidates with a different experience range are encouraged to apply as well. Fluency in Marathi (both spoken and written) is essential. Prior experience working in the field of child rights is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated track record of working on child safeguarding issues and related fields at the community level.
