Assistant Vice President Treasury Risk Assurance

As an Assistant Vice President - Treasury Risk Assurance at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal control environment for Treasury Risk. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting in defining and scoping the Treasury Risk Assurance function, focusing on promoting synergies and efficiencies while maintaining a best-in-class control environment. - Challenging first-line control and risk owners to ensure effective risk management activities. - Providing subject matter expertise, advice, guidance, and effective challenge to Risk and Control Owners. - Monitoring compliance with minimum requirements for managing Treasury risk as per relevant policies. - Reporting on the risk and control profile, including impacts of external environment changes and emerging risks. - Working with the business to understand the impact of emerging risks on controls and resources. - Supporting the definition of the Risk and Control Library and recommending Risk and Control Assessment scoping. Qualifications required for this role include: - CA/MBA in Finance or Masters in a relevant field. - Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a Big4/Financial services firm in internal audit, assurance, or treasury management. - Good working knowledge of Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book requirements and regulations. - Strong understanding of key risk drivers and measures of Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book. - Ability to challenge stakeholders at various levels and build relationships. - Strong stakeholder management and writing skills.
